Timm, Gloria (Rahn) (8 JUL 1937 - 4 JAN 2018)
Gloria Timm, 80, of Wausau passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018 after a long
and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
She was born July 8, 1937 to Ed and Alma Rahn. In 1955 she married William Timm,
who preceded her in death in 2010.
Gloria spent her early years as a volunteer candy striper. Then worked at
Jo-Ann’s Fabric and then at 29 Super Market in the bakery department, where she
enjoyed chatting with customers and passing out donuts.
Gloria had many passions. She loved sewing, needle point and knitting. Knitting
Christmas socks was her favorite. She liked gardening, taking care of her plants
and flowers. Gloria was an avid collector of Owl artwork and of Precious
Moments.
Gloria and Bill traveled a lot with many trips to Las Vegas and area casinos.
They took trips that took them to Europe, the Caribbean, Panama, Alaska and
Hawaii.
She is preceded in death by her husband Bill, parents Ed and Alma Rahn, infant
son Jeffery and brother, Rodney Rahn. Survivors are children: Lori Imhoff
(Roger), John Timm (Karrie), Beth Champine (Tony), grandchildren: Luke Imhoff
(Regina), Alex Imhoff (Andrea), Kristen Peterson (Dillon), Michael Timm, Justin
Champine (Jamie), Jenny Champine, Corey Jackels, 3 great grandchildren: Eli
Imhoff, Kylie and Madison Champine, sisters: Pat Wyman (Dick), Nancy Neymeyer
(Bob) and Donna Young (John).
The family extends a thank you to the staff at North Central Health Care for the
wonderful care of Gloria.
Private family services will be held at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau.
