Navy Petty Officer Second Class Michael L. Kinas, son of Mrs. Vernice Anderson of route 1, Gilman, has returned to Long Beach, California, after a seven-month deployment in the Western Pacific aboard the fleet oiler USS Navasota.

In addition to providing logistics support to ships of the Seventh Fleet off the coast of Vietnam, the crew of the Navasota visited the Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan.
