Horvath, Magdalena (22 JUL 1895 – 14? DEC 1970)
Funeral services for Mrs. Joseph Horvath, 74, town of Pershing (Taylor Co.,
Wis.), who died unexpectedly at her home Monday, were held at 10 a.m. at St.
Peter and Paul's Catholic Church in Gilman, with the Reverend Alphons Zoltowski
officiating. Burial was in Meadowbrook Cemetery at Gilman.
The former Magdalena Brozman was born in Czechoslovakia July 22, 1895 and came
to the United States in 1912. She married Joseph Horvath in East Chicago,
Indiana in 1913, and in 1929 moved to Hannibal. Her husband died in 1953.
Surviving are four sons, Frank of Gilman, Joseph of Randolph, Andrew of Mount
Prospect, Illinois, and John of Brandon; four daughter, Mary, Ann, and Helen at
home, and Marge of Highland Park, Illinois; 16 grandchildren, and two brothers
and three sisters who reside in Czechoslovakia.
A son and two daughters preceded her in death.
