Pagel, Mary (30 SEP 1883 – 20 DEC 1970)

Mary Pagel, 87, passed away at the Victory Memorial Nursing Home, Sunday, December 20, 1970. Mary, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Pagel, was born September 30, 1883 in the Town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.). She entered the Des Moines School of Nursing and graduated a Registered Nurse in June 1920. She worked several years as a R.N. at Des Moines, Iowa and Mendota State Hospital. She retired in 1954 and moved to the city of Thorp.

She leaves to mourn: two brothers, Paul of Milwaukee and Louis of Thorp; three sister-in-law, and nieces and nephews. Her parents and two brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 23rd, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with Reverend Robert Olson officiating. Burial was made in the Reseburg Cemetery (Sylvan).

Pallbearers were: Augusta Page Jr. of Wautoma, John Pagel of Owen, Louie Page Jr. of Stanley, Fred Pagel of Eau Claire, Theron Pagel and Harold Mattes of Thorp.
