Dahlke, Joan (12 DEC 1970)
St. Bernard's Church, Thorp, was the scene for the marriage of Miss Joan Dahlke
and Bernard Budzinski on Saturday, December 12, 1970. Father Francis Brockman
performed the twelve noon marriage ceremony. St. Bernard's Children Choir sang.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a silk illusion A-line bridal
gown with train. Her veil was held by a rose effect headpiece, and she carried a
bouquet of pink carnations with red roses.
Betty Budzinski, sister of the groom, was maid of honor, and bridesmaid was
Diane Abraham. They wore mint green bonded crepe and dark green velvet floor
length dresses. Their flowers were pink carnations on a dark green velvet muff
to match their dresses.
Jim Dahlke, brother of the bride, was best man, and groomsman was Ted Kaminski.
A reception was held in the evening, followed by a dance at St. Bridgett's Hall
at Chippewa Falls.
The bride is a 1964 graduate of Fall Creek High School and is presently employed
at People's Exchange Bank, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). The groom is a 1964 graduate
of Thorp High School and is employed at Foremost Blue Moon in Thorp.
After a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, they will make their home at 403 W.
Main Street, Thorp.
