Wenzel, Milfred V. (20 FEB 1906 – 6 JAN 1971)
Milfred V. Wenzel, 64, of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) died at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday,
January 6, 1971, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield following a coronary
attack.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Christian and Missionary
Alliance Church, Owen, and burial was made in Riverside Cemetery at Withee. The
Reverend Lester Kringl officiated.
Mr. Wenzel was born February 20, 1906 in the town of Hixon in Clark County, and
received his education in Clark County schools. He was married May 28, 1932, in
Withee, to Edith Ball, who survives him.
The couple farmed in the Town of Hixon until 1857, when they came to Owen, where
Mr. Wenzel had been a road patrolman for six years, and an attendant at Clark
County Hospital before his retirement in 1969.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, are: two sons, Eugene, serving with the
United States Air Force in Nebraska, and Vernon, White Bear Lake, Minnesota; two
daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Donna) Clifton, Mesa, Arizona, and Mrs. Kenneth (Dolores)
Dearth, Wautoma; and 3 grandchildren.
