Mayor Frank Wadzinski took over as President of the Thorp Volunteer Fire Department at the fire company's meeting held Monday evening at the Fire Hall.

Other members of the department who also took office Monday night included the following.

- Vice President: Gene Zoromski
- Secretary/Treasurer: Jack LaGasse
- Fire Inspector: Clyde Misfeldt
- Fire Chief: Ray Woods

The Annual Firemen's Ball will be held on Saturday, March 13, and as Vice President, Gene Zoromski is chairman of the affair, which has definitely been set for the Legion Hall, as in the past.
