Logwin, Elida (Marriage – 12 October 1974)
Marriage vows were exchanged by Miss Elida Logwin and Thomas Dodte in a 2 p.m.
ceremony performed Saturday, October 12, at the Loyal Free Methodist Church by
the Rev. Frank Mutchler. A reception followed in the church hall.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Peter Logwin, and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard
Dodte, all of Rt. 1 Neillsville.
The bride carried an arrangement of white daisies, and yellow tea roses to
compliment her Victorian style A-line gown fashioned with bell sleeves and a
high collar.
A bouquet of yellow and white blossoms harmonized with the yellow and white
checked gown worn by the matron-of-honor, Mrs. Andrew Elmhorst of Rt. 1
Neillsville. The dress was styled with puffed sleeves, and trimmed with daisies
around the collar.
Andrew Elmhorst attended the groom as bestman. Serving as ushers were Gary Wold
of Minneapolis, Mn., and David Clouse of Loyal.
“The Wedding Song” was the selection presented by soloist Mrs. Sharon Horn of
Pittsville. Mrs. Donna Balciar, Marshfield, was the organist.
Women of the church honored the bride-to-be at a miscellaneous shower October 5.
The new Mrs. Dodte attended Granton High School for three years, and graduated
from McHenry West Campus in Illinois. She had been employed by a McHenry (Il.)
firm. Her husband attended Neillsville schools, and is engaged in farming.
The newlyweds will live on Rt. 1, Neillsville.
