Lambert, Delor G. (12 MAR 1920 - 6 JAN 2018)
Delor G. Lambert, Age 97, of Marshfield, passed away on Saturday, January 6,
2018 at Marshfield Medical Center.
His funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at
Faith Fellowship Church in Marshfield. Rev. Larry Sheahan will officiate. Burial
will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Marshfield.
Del was born on March 12, 1920 in Ingram, Wisconsin the son of Delor and
Emillien (Gigeure) Lambert. He attended Ingram School.
Del served his country in the United States Army Infantry Division from January
1942 until March 1947, driving truck, transporting troops and ammunition. After
his honorable discharge from the military he was united in marriage to Alma
Reeves on November 9, 1948 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin.
Del owned and operated a logging business and worked at the Sandhill Game Farm.
He liked hunting, trapping and traveling with Alma. He was a charter member of
Faith Fellowship Church in Marshfield, a member of the Gideons and spearheaded
the Evangelical Chaplains program at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Alma of 69 years; his children: Gary (Lorenda)
Lambert of Milford, IA, Judy (Bill) Zirnhelt of Marshfield, Kathy (Kevin) Boyles
of Marshfield, Wayne (Sharon) Lambert of Kaukauna and Lori (Marty) LeGrand of
Lakeland, FL. He is further survived by 12 grandchildren and 24
great-grandchildren.
Del was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Paul and Dale and sisters
Darlene and Dorothy.
His arrangements are under the care of Life Tributes Funeral Home-Spencer.
