U.S. Army, Vietnam: Army Specialist Four Thomas J. Pancyrz, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph Pancyrz, route 1, Lublin, Wisconsin, recently received the Bronze Start
Medal in Vietnam.
He was present the Bronze Star Medal for distinguishing himself through
meritorious service in connection with military operations against hostile
forces in Vietnam. The medal, adopted in 1944, recognizes outstanding
achievement.
Spec. 4 Pancyrz received the award while assigned as a truck driver with the
47th Transportation Company near Long Binh. He entered the Army in June 1969,
and completed basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
