Anderson, Murnie (3 DEC 1919 – 5 FEB 1971)
Murnie A. Anderson, 51, a resident of route 3, Stanley, Town of Worden (Clark
Co., Wis.), died at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield on Friday, February 5,
1971, after a short illness.
Mr. Anderson was born December 3, 1919 in the Town of Worden, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Anderson sr. He graduated from Stanley High School in 1937. He was
married January 5, 1946 to Evelyn Olson at Our Savior's Lutheran Parsonage at
Stanley. He lived his entire life in the Town of Worden, member of Our Savior's
Lutheran Church, Equity Co-op, and member of Stanley-Boyd School Board.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at two p.m., at Our Savior's Lutheran
Church, Stanley, with Reverend Carl Peters officiating. Burial was made in the
East Side Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Bill Micke Sr., Gerhardt Mathison, Norval
Boie, Jim Benzschawel, Tony Gruba, and Ed Haas.
Surviving are: his wife; two sons, Brian and Wayne, both at home; one daughter,
(Karen0 Mrs. Gerald Stoner, Downing, Wisconsin; two grandchildren; his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Anderson Sr. of Stanley; four brothers, Arnold of Thorp,
Leonard, Charles Jr. and George, all of Stanley.
