Zasoba, Clara M. (24 JAN 1887 – 14 FEB 1971)

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Withee, for Mrs. Clara Zasoba, 84, of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), who died Sunday morning of an apparent heart attack.

The former Clara Martha Baehr was born January 24, 1887 in Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.). She attended a school four miles west of Withee, and worked on a farm in that vicinity prior to her marriage.

She was married January 24, 1906, in Withee, to John Zasoba, who preceded her indeath March 6, 1967. The couple operated a shoe repair service in Withee for 62 years, and observed their 60th wedding anniversary in 1966.

Survivors include two sons, Eldon Zasoba, Omaha, Nebraska, and Clinton Zasoba, Franklin, Wisconsin; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Harry and George Baehr, both of route 1, Withee; and a sister, Mrs. Richard (Emma) Rabska, Withee.

In addition her husband, Mrs. Zasoba was preceded in death by a son.
