Voit, Dorothy E. (12 FEB 1943 – 17 JAN 2018)
Loyal - DOROTHY E. VOIT, age 74, of Loyal, peacefully passed away on Wednesday,
January 17, 2018 at the House of the Dove, in Marshfield, after enduring cancer.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at St.
Anthony Catholic Church, in Loyal. Rev. Steve Brice will officiate and burial of
cremains will take place in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be
held at the church, on Tuesday, from 9am until time of service.
Dorothy Elaine Kosar was born on February 12, 1943 in Chippewa Falls, WI, to
Adolph and Martha (Rossow) Kosar. She was raised and received her education in
the Stanley-Boyd area, and graduated from Stanley High School in 1961. Dorothy
was united in marriage to Francis A. Voit on October 29, 1961 in Antioch, IL.
She worked as a program assistant for Clark County Farm Service Agency at the
Neillsville Courthouse for 17 years. Dorothy was currently working as a
financial advisor for Modern Woodmen of America for the last 22 years.
She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, and was a founding member of
the Red Hat Society and the Loyal Historical Society.
Dorothy had many interests, including, her love of life, especially the time
spent with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and all of her family. She
was a loving wife and mother, and opened her door and heart to all. Dorothy also
enjoyed spending the last 5 years in Casa Grande, AZ, gardening, and all the
aspects of being a homemaker.
She will be dearly missed by her husband of 56 years, Francis, of Loyal; five
children: Kevin (Linda) Voit of Madison, Kimberly (Rich) Hoffmann of Marshfield,
Keith Voit of Milwaukee, Kathleen Voit of Loyal, Kurt (Jill) Voit of Buckeye,
AZ; eight grandchildren: Danielle (Mark) Dunbar, Brody Lavene, Nicole Pieper,
Brook (Marshall) Lehman, Breanna Lavene (fiancé, Jake Olson), Rachel Voit, Tyler
Voit, Jordan Voit; four great-grandchildren: Jackson and Reagan Dunbar, Paislee
and Saige Lehman; six sisters: Shirley Oyama of Loyal, Margaret Kosar of
Oakdale, MN, Loretta (Tom) Heian of Eau Claire, Judy (Roger) Kubera of Colfax,
Jane (Johnny) Telisczak of Cornell, Joyce (Archie) Freeman of Stanley; one
brother: Frank (Betty) Kosar of Grand Prairie, TX; one sister-in-law: Nancy
Kosar of Belvidere, IL; one brother-in-law: Bob Berchem of Boyd; many nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Betty Kosar and Ruth
Berchem; and one brother: Kenny Kosar.
