Dahlke, Steven E. (29 October 1961 – 20 January 2018) With Flag
Steven E. Dalke, 56, of Neillsville passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Jan. 20,
2018, in the emergency room at Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville.
Steven was born in Medford Oct. 29, 1961, the son of Albert and Nona (Westridge)
Dalke. He was a graduate of Cow Pie High School in southern Door County. Steven
served his country in the U. S. Air Force for five years. He married Deborah
Priest April 23, 2005, in Purdy, MO. Steven worked for the telephone company for
18 years before working for Star Fleet in Indiana, delivering campers for three
years. His most recent job was working for Abby Vans in Neillsville until the
time of his death. Steven enjoyed being a ham operator, loved to race
lawnmowers. He made and flew model airplanes, liked to play around with
radio-controlled cars, and enjoyed watching NASCAR on television. He made maple
syrup on his property, but most of all, he liked to tinker and keep busy; if you
challenged him he could build it.
Steven is survived, by his mother, Nona Dalke of Monett, MO; sister, Sue (Gary)
Updike of Purdy, MO; brother, Scott (Ann) Dahlke of Sturgeon Bay; step-children:
Amy (Joe Dagenhart) Balfour of Boyceville, and Nicole (Joshua) LePage of
Neillsville; nieces and nephews: Christina, Michael, Carlos and Mioara.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, and his father, Albert Dalke.
Per Steven’s request, no services will be held. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral
Home in Owen is entrusted with the arrangements.
