Hatfield’s Stones Throw (New Owners - 2018)
Hatfield’s Stone’s Throw Has New Owners
Hatfield’s Stones Throw Bar and Grill has new owners. After purchasing the
former Four In One 19 years ago, and giving it a new identity as the Stones
Throw, Tim and Lana Langreck (left) turned the keys over to the restaurant’s new
owners, Bill and Tammy Martin. (Contributed photo)
As of the first week of January, the Stones Throw Bar and Brill in Hatfield has
new owners. Tim and Lana Langreck turned over ownership of the restaurant to
Bill and Tammy Martin January 17.
Tim and Lana purchased the old Four in One 19 years ago and eventually opened as
Stones Throw. Over the years, they improved all facets of the restaurant except
for the bar area, which kept the same décor. The rest of the restaurant has had
extensive remodeling over the years, including the outside dining areas.
Bill and Tammy lived and worked in the Appleton area for many years and bought a
home in Hatfield a few years ago. What started as a vacation took a turn when
they purchased the Stones Throw.
Tammy has several years of food service experience, but Bill says that he is a
fast learner. When asked what there were planning on changing? Bill said,
“Nothing, just nothing.”
“Smart man,” shared Torger Mikkelson, another Hatfield property owner and Stones
Throw customer. “They have been loyal customers since they moved to Hatfield, so
they know the importance of Lana’s training of new employees.”
All of the current staff has committed to staying on with the new ownership.
“Wisconsin is the land of ‘Super Clubs and Brandy Old-Fashions,’” shared
Mikkelson. “The tradition will continue with the new owners.”
All gift certificates will be honored but Lana has asked that they be redeemed
in a timely manner.
Tim and Lana plan on staying on to help the new owners until their annual
vacation to Mexico.
