Niemi, Arnie S. (8 NOV 1921 – 04 NOV 1969)

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 1969 at the Bethany Lutheran Church for a former resident, Arnie S. Niemi, 47, of Milwaukee, who died of an apparent heart attack Tuesday at his home.

The Rev. H.W. Luetkehoelter, pastor, officiated, and burial was made in Riverside Cemetery.

Pallbearers were William C. Kangas, George Sorensen, Lester Hansen, Robert Capes, Robert Lietzau, and Roy Ammentorp.

Mr. Niemi was born November 8, 1921 at Wakefield, Michigan, and received his education at Withee schools. He had served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1946.

His marriage to Marjorie Capes of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) took place on September 24, 1946. Since that time the couple had lived at Milwaukee, where he was employed by American Motors Company. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church at Milwaukee.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Nancy) Peters, Columbus, S.C.; a granddaughter; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kauno Niemi, Withee; and two brothers, Edwin Niemi, Normal, Illinois; and Allen Niemi, Withee.
