Smith, Edward (1899? – 4 DEC 1969)

Word was received here the fore part of the week by Mr. and Mrs. Byrl Rowe of the death of a farmer area resident, Ed Smith, 70, formerly of the Wolters Corners (Clark Co., Wis.) area, died Thursday, December 4, 1969 at Phoenix, Arizona, where he and his wife were for the winter months. After leaving here some 15 years ago they moved to Central City, Iowa, where they operated a Gamble Store, now owned by their son.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday at Marion, Iowa. He is survived by his wife, Pauline; and two sons, Ronald and Robert.

His death was sudden and unexpected, as he passed away in his sleep.
