Jensen, Arthur J. (1898? – 12 DEC 1969)
Arthur J. Jensen, 71, of 1530 Sherwin Ave., Eau Claire, died at his home Friday.
Funeral services were held Monday at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church with
the Rev. Roy B. Schmeichel officiating. Interment was in the Lake View Cemetery.
Mr. Jensen was born in Hutchinson, Minnesota, and came to Eau Claire in 1919. He
was employed at the Farmers Store until 1940, and was with the Eau Claire
Transportation Co. until his retirement in 1965. He served with the U.S. Army in
World War I, and was a charter member of the American Legion, Post 53, in Eau
Claire. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Mr. Jensen is survived by one son, William, Duluth, two brothers, Eiler of
Ironwood, Michigan, and Chris of Springfield, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Esther
Christiansen, Richmond, Indiana, and four grandchildren.
His wife, the former Agnes Westergaard of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), preceded him
in death.
Pete Madsen, Owen, served as one of the pallbearers.
