Dalke, Steven E. (29 NOV 1961 - 20 JAN 2018)

Steven E. Dalke, age 56 of Neillsville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 20, 2018 in the emergency room at Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville.

Per Steven’s request no services will be held. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen is entrusted with the arrangements.

Steven was born in Medford, Wisconsin on October 29, 1961, the son of Albert and Nona (Westridge) Dalke. He was a graduate of Cow Pie High School in southern Door County. Steven served his country in the US Air Force for five years. He married Deborah Priest on April 23, 2005 in Purdy, MO.

Steven worked for the telephone company for 18 years before working for Star Fleet in Indiana delivering campers for three years. His most recent job was working for Abby Vans in Neillsville until the time of his death. Steven enjoyed being a ham operator, loved to race lawnmowers, he made and flew model airplanes, liked to play around with radio controlled cars, enjoyed watching NASCAR on the television, he made maple syrup on his property, but most of all he liked to tinker and keep busy, if you challenged him he could build it.

Steven is survived by his mother; Nona Dalke of Monett, MO, wife; Deborah Dalke of Neillsville, sister; Sue (Gary) Updike of Purdy, MO, brother; Scott (Ann) Dalke of Sturgeon Bay, WI, step-children; Amy (Joe Dagenhart) Balfour of Boyceville, WI, Nicole (Joshua) LePage of Neillsville, nieces and nephews; Christina, Michael, Carlos and Mioara.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents and his father; Albert Dalke.
