Hostetler, Duane R. “Cowboy” Jr. (11 MAY 1992 - 20 JAN 2018)
Duane R. “Cowboy” Hostetler, Jr., age 25, of Stetsonville, died a hero on
Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, at
Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. Pastor Ernest Hostetler will
preside. Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, Jan. 24, from 4 until 8
p.m. and on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of service, all at the funeral
home.
Duane was born on May 11, 1992, the son of Duane and Amber Hostetler, Sr. in
Hayward. His passion was to ride bulls, and he became a professional bull rider.
Duane also enjoyed shooting pool, playing guitar, NASCAR and going to the races.
Most importantly, he loved and was loved by his family and friends. He will be
greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Duane is survived by his parents, Duane and Amber Hostetler, Sr. of Stetsonville;
two boys, Hayden and Greyson; his fiancee, Megan Dupee of Arpin; two brothers
and two sisters, Keisha Hostetler and Austin Hostetler, both of Hayward, Dalton
Hostetler and Britney Hostetler, both of Stetsonville. He is further survived by
his grandmother, Wilma Mast of Middlebury, Ind.; nieces and nephews; Aurora,
Vincent, Francis Jr., Tyrese, Heavenly, Austin Jr., Lilian and Camdyn; and other
relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, David Hostetler; and grandparents,
Henry and Gayle Pohlman.
