Hink, Ruby Ardelle (Buyatt) (23 AUG 1925 - 24 JAN 2018)

Ruby Ardelle Hink, of Waukesha, died on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, at the age of 92 in Mesa, Ariz.

Ruby was born in Jump River on Aug. 23, 1925, the daughter of Alfa Olson and Syrvie Buyatt. She was united in marriage to Erwin Hink on March 6, 1943. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Big Bend.

Ruby enjoyed many years raising her children and working at Meads Towel Service. After her retirement she traveled frequently to Arizona to escape the bitter Wisconsin winters, and was able to do so for 33 years.

She loved to go square dancing with her husband and could probably beat you in any card game she knew (which was a lot).

Ruby was a proud member of the Red Hat Ladies and enjoyed her weekly lunches with her girlfriends. She also had great luck (as she would tell it) of winning Bingo more times than she lost.

Later in life, when mobility became difficult, she mastered the art of putting together jigsaw puzzles in record time.

Ruby will be missed by her children, Barbara Mengel, Carol (Robert) Mengel, Dennis (Debra), Michael (Janet), Barry (Linda), Scott (Sandra), Randy (Julie), Darrin (Dana) and Bonnie (Leland) Jones; along with her 26 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Erwin; her sisters, Elnora Buyatt and Betty Gavigan; and her brothers, Clinton, Lloyd, Alfred (Butts) and William Buyatt. She was also preceded in death by her sons-in-law, Gerald Mengel and Chris Tapp and her great-granddaughters, Brya and Bella Hink.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31 at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.
On Thursday, Feb. 1, there will be a viewing from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. followed by Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, S89 W22650 Milwaukee Ave. Big Bend. Luncheon will be served at the church following Mass.

Burial will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2 at Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Jump River.

In lieu in flowers, donations to a charity of your choice in Ruby's name would be appreciated.
