Seufzer, Joseph (9 OCT 1905 – 03 JAN 1970)
Joseph Seufzer, 64, died Saturday at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
Mr. Seufzer was born October 9, 1905 at Stanley.
He was married on July 16, 1929 to Mary Slowinski, and they lived in Milwaukee
for the first few years of their marriage, where he was a motorman on a street
car.
In 1931 they moved to the Stanley area, where they farmed. Before coming to
Augusta in 1959, they farmed in the Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) and Marshfield areas.
Since coming to Augusta, they ad owned and operated Rudes Motel.
Mr. Seufzer had been in ill health since July of this year.
Survivors include his wife, four sons, Richard, Waukesha, James, Withee, Donald,
Watertown, S.D., and David of Augusta; one daughter, Mrs. Russell Truhlar of
Marshfield, two brothers, Tony of Stanley and Herman of Baraboo; three sisters,
Mrs. Helen Duvall of Thorp, Mrs. Jim Conlan, Cable, and Leona of Fairchild.
Funeral service sere held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Augusta, 11 a.m.
Monday, with Father Edward Masalewicz officiating.
