Williams, Mavis Lynn (20 DEC 1969)
The Rev. H.W. Luetkehoelter, in a marriage ceremony performed at Nazareth
Lutheran Church in Withee, heard the repetition of nuptial promises made by Miss
Mavis Lynn Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Williams, Route 1, Withee
(Clark Co., Wis.), , and Alan Robert Lulloff, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick
Lulloff, Route 1, Owen (Clark Co.).
The wedding took place at 2:00 p.m. with Mr. William presenting his daughter in
marriage. Mrs. Herman Rabska played the organ and Mrs. Erma Petke sang for the
Saturday, December 20, 1969 ceremony.
As the bride approached the altar with her father, she was seen in a gown of
imported silk, sheer in Camelot style with a bodice of Baroque design, Venice
lace, Edwardian collar and sleeves attached to lower lace shoulders. A medieval
skirt extended from the empire bodice to floor length with a chapel train. A
mantilla of cathedral length edged with Venice lace was worn about her head. She
carried a circular bouquet of white and purple daisy mums and pompon, accented
with ivy and stephanotis.
Serving as her sister’s matron of honor was Mrs. Eric Daum, Columbus, Ohio. The
bridesmaids were Miss Carol Littenan, Madison, Miss Diane Glendon, Oshkosh, and
Miss Dona Karaba, Owen. They each wore purple floor length pants dresses with
Edwardian style white brocade bodice. They wore medieval style white rope
headpieces with matching flowers. The flower girls were Tamra Decker and Debra
Hoffman.
The groom asked Dennis Lulloff, Owen, to be his best man. The groomsmen were
Walter Olszewski, Western Springs, Illinois, Jack Eloranta and Michael Gardner,
both of Eau Claire. Serving as the ushers were Daniel Jankee and Michael Kitze.
A reception was held at the Woodland Hotel, a 5:00 p.m. dinner at St. John’s
Lutheran Church Hall in Withee, and the dance at Dorchester Memorial Hall.
The bride is a graduate of the Owen-Withee High School and Patricia Stevens
Career College in Milwaukee. She has been employed in Madison. The groom
graduated from the same high school and is present attending Wisconsin State
University at Eau Claire. He is affiliated with Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity.
A wedding trip was spent in northern Michigan and the couple will make their
home in Eau Claire.
