Olah, Ann E. (Hebert) (2 JUL 1926 - 4 FEB 2018)
Ann E. Olah, 91, of Westboro passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Rib Lake
Health Services, Rib Lake, where she had resided for the past 7 months.
A memorial gathering and graveside service will be announced at a later date,
with interment of her cremated remains at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Westboro as well.
Ann was born on July 2, 1926 to Archie Donald and Mildred Avery (Streeter)
Hebert in Longview, Washington. She attended elementary schools at both
Washington and Westboro, WI; was a 1943 graduate of Westboro High School;
attended Santa Monica Community College. On February 16, 1946 in Medford she
married Steve Olah and he preceded her in death August 20, 1994.
After her marriage, they farmed in the Town of Rib Lake for many years until her
retirement in 1999. She also cooked at the Westboro School for some time. She
enjoyed reading, playing cribbage, gardening, cooking, baking, her pets, feeding
the birds, bowling and her family was very important to her. Ann was also a
charter member of the Premeau-Schauss VFW Auxiliary, Westboro.
Ann is survived by her children, Steven (Gail) Olah of Rice Lake, Robert “Bob”
(Kristie) Olah of Sunnyvale, Calif., Richard (Peggy) Olah of Westboro;
grandchildren, Stephanie (John) Grefe, Renee (Jack) Stein, Ryan, Andrea & Erik
(Heather) Olah, Lisa (Jason) Rashid; great-grandchildren Eli and Ava Grefe,
Megan Stein, Brandon, Nathan, Matthew and Luke Olah, Jadeyn Olah, Jordan and
Levi Rashid and brother, John Hebert of Rib Lake.
In addition to her husband and parents, Ann is preceded in death by a
granddaughter, Shannon Olah in 2007; sisters Lois Sherfield, Nancy McCrellias
and Linda Fritsch and brothers Donald and Joe Hebert.
The family would like to acknowledge and give thanks to the Rib Lake Health
Services for their care and compassion while Ann was a resident. The family
requests memorial contributions be given to the family for a future designation.
