Two students from Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) are among about 950 collegians at
Stevens Point State University who recently received commendations for academic
excellence: They are:
James L. Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon J. Miller of Rt. 2, Box 69, Withee;
and Victor E. Schiszik, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Schiszik of Rt. 1, Curtiss.
They were cited for grades received during the first semester of the 1969-70
school year at Stevens Point State. To quality, they were required to earn at
least a 3.2 average on a 4 point scale.
About 12 percent of the student body was listed on the honor roll. The school
had an enrollment of nearl 7,00 during the first semester.
