Bart, Mr./Mrs. James (Gold – 6 APR 1970)
James Bart and Bernice Irvine were married in Cudahy, Wisconsin on April 6, 1920
and celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday, April 11, 1970.
Jim and Bernice lived in Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) from 1920 to 1941. Jim was
telephone manager for Clark Co. Telephone Company, and later working for the
Northern States Power Company. They went to Manitowish Waters to make their
home.
They celebrated the anniversary by having dinner at Scholls Lennelle Lodge, and
later held open house at the Community Center.
Thos attending from sway were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bart and family of Hortonville,
Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bart and family of Roselle, Ill.; Mrs. Eula Brandt, Green
Bay; Mr. and Mrs. Don Irvine, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Irvine,
Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Quinton Irvine, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Tim Greuber
and family, Wisconsin Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Rogstad and family, Greenwood;
Maribeth Kolarchek, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cesar, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs.
John Gummerson, Owen; Arthur Bart from Melnising, Mich., and a host of friends
and relatives from Manitowish Waters.
They had long distance calls from their granddaughters, Judy in Linden, New
Jersey, and from Linda in North Carolina.
They received many gifts for this special occasion, one of them being a huge
money tree.
