Artus, Lawrence G. (8 JUL 1913 - 27 NOV 2003)
Lawrence G. Artus, 90, 634 Brooks Place, Wausau, died Thursday, November 27,
2003 at his home.
He was born on July 8, 1913 in the town of Stettin, son of the late Carl and
Alwina (Wilde) Artus. On October 31, 1964, he married Ruth Totsch in Wausau. She
survives.
Lawrence enjoyed being a dairy farmer in the town of Stettin until his
retirement in 1985. He especially enjoyed working with his step grandchildren on
the farm.
Besides his wife, Ruth, Wausau he is survived by one step daughter, Charlotte
Lord, West Bend; one step son, Bruce (Ruby) Jaecks, Marathon; 11 step
grandchildren; 18 step great grandchildren; three sisters, Esther (Allen) Roy,
Myrtle Lodholz and Agnes (Alvin) Rusch all of Wausau.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one step daughter, Virginia
Knorr.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday December 1, 2003 at Rib Falls
Methodist Church. Steve Booher will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove
Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. Monday until the time of
services at the church.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Ave., Wausau is in charge of
arrangements.
