Doubek, Jerome Junior "Jerry" (18 APR 1926 - 10 AUG 1999)
Jerome Junior "Jerry" Doubek, 73, Spring Lake Park, Minn., died Tuesday, August
10, 1999, at his home.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 14, at Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Home
in Rib Lake with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Burial took place in Lakeview
Cemetery in Rib Lake.
Pallbearers were Marvin, Bob, Jerry, and John Doubek, Bob Leonhard, and David
Glenzer.
Jerome Doubek was born April 18, 1926, in Milwaukee to Jerry and Marie (Krushat)
Doubek. He attended Ward Elementary School in Rib Lake. He served in the US Navy
during World War II.
On May 19, 1951, he married Rae Jean Glenzer at St. John's Lutheran Church. He
was employed at Woodman Manufacturing in production for 23 years and then as a
machine operator at Barry Blowers for nine years. He retired in 1988. He enjoyed
woodworking, fishing and hunting.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Rib Lake and of the Circle X
American Legion Post 566.
Survivors include two sons, Bill (Fay) and Dennis (Mary) Doubek, both of Circle
Pines, Minn.; two brothers, Bob (Julie) of Hanover Park, Ill., and Marvin (Emy
Lou) Doubek of Rice Lake; a sister, June Doubek of Rib Lake; and four
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Rae Jean (Glenzer) on
March 19, 1986.
