In the First Communion Class of 98 second graders at St. Peter and Paul Catholic
Church in Wisconsin Rapids, was Mathew Lukowicz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip
Lukowicz.
The Guitar Mass was celebrated in the afternoon at two o'clock instead of the
usual early morning hour, enabling friends and relatives from afar to share this
joyous occasion with the little ones.
The church was filled to capacity, and those in attendance were Mr. and Mrs.
John Lukowicz, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hiebsch, Mr. and Mrs. J. Stanley Greschner
and sons, and Mr. Eddy Wendt from the Owen-Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) area. Tess
Lukowicz came from Marshfield and Jane Baumgart from Wausau.
After the Mass, a dinner was served in Mathew's honor at his home with his
family and friends.
