Wiersma, Beverly J. (Henricks) (10 APR 1933 - 15 FEB 2018)
Beverly J. Wiersma, age 84, of Abbotsford, passed away on Thursday, February 15,
2018 at the House of the Dove in Marshfield.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at
Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford. Rev. Mark Neumann will officiate.
Interment will follow at Abbotsford Public Cemetery. Family and friends are
welcome from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 19 at Maurina-Schilling
Funeral Home in Abbotsford and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at
the church.
Beverly was born on April 10, 1933, the daughter of William and Esther (Krause)
Henricks in Evanston, IL. She graduated from Woodstock High School in IL.
Beverly was united in marriage to Raymond Wiersma on April 10, 1954 at Faith
Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights, IL. He preceded her in death on August 20,
2009. Together they farmed in Arden, IL and she worked as a receptionist at a
dental office in Harvard, IL.
Beverly was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. She liked gardening,
sewing, antiquing and playing the piano. Beverly especially cherished her
family.
Beverly is survived by her two children: Polly Pacewicz of Palatine, IL and
Daniel (Terri) Wiersma of Colby; six grandchildren: Howie Brewer, Heather (Eric)
Kroliczek, Emily Pacewicz, Jake Pacewicz (fiancée, Samantha Slater), Sarah
Wiersma and Zachary Wiersma; one great-grandson, Sam.
She is further survived by her brother, Edwin (Barbara) Henricks of Arlington
Heights, IL; two sisters-in-law, Martha Schmidt of Colby and Arlene Wiersma of
Harvard, IL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; her daughter,
Pamela in 2002; two brothers, William and Robert Henricks and two
brothers-in-law, Lawrence Schmidt and Wilbur Wiersma.
