Spiegel, Harry Joseph (23 JAN 1938 - 13 FEB 2018)

Harry Joseph Spiegel, of Cadott, born on Jan. 23, 1938, in Mellen, to the late Harold and Ruth (Johnson) Spiegel, passed away at age 80 on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018 in the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn. due to a combination of health issues.

Harry graduated from Bruce High School in Bruce. From 1960 to 1966, he served in the Army National Guard and was stationed in Tacoma, Wash. for the first couple of years. He worked in the auto repair industry as an automatic transmission specialist and eventually started his own shop, Green Acres Transmissions in Cadott until he retired around 2008.

His spouse was the late Marilyn Spiegel. Later, he was the partner of Joan Frederick.

He is survived by his sons, Gene (Geno) Spiegel of Lakeville, Minn. and Ricky Spiegel of Eau Claire. As well there are grandsons, Cory Spiegel, Daniel Spiegel, Joseph Spiegel and Lance Stelzer.

Harry was very fond of dancing and until recently would travel all over the area to go to dances. He also loved being a private pilot. He was formerly a member of the Civil Air Patrol in Chippewa Falls.

Friends and family members are welcome to attend a memorial service at 2p.m. on May 19 at the Lafayette Town Hall east of Lake Wissota just off Highway X in Chippewa Falls. A light lunch will be served after the memorial.

Harry was cremated by the Rochester Cremation Service.
