Reinke, Jayson Walter “Jay” (19 JUL 1970 - 20 FEB 2018)
Jayson Walter “Jay” Reinke, 47, Phillips, died in the Flambeau Hospital in Park
Falls on Tuesday, February 20, 2018.
He was born in Medford, Wisconsin, on July 19, 1970, the son of Walter “Bud” and
Marc (Rudolph) Reinke. He was a 1988 graduate of the Phillips High School, and a
graduate of Northcentral Technical College-Wausau, where he earned an
Associate’s Degree in Sales and Marketing.
He was married to Tammi Honsa-Meusec in August of 1991 and to this union two
children were born. They later divorced. He was married to Amber VanderArk in
Wisconsin Dells, WI, on September 22, 2012.
He was employed as an auto salesman by Fred and the boys at Wheelway in Fifield,
operated a local auction service, was employed by Wells Fargo Bank as a Personal
Banker, by Mid Wisconsin Bank as a Personal Banker, and Northwoods Credit Union
as a Personal Banker, and most recently by Industrial Air Products where he
served as National Sales Manager. He was baptized and confirmed at Saint John
Lutheran Church in Phillips. He served as Alderman for the City of Phillips,
Scout Master of Pack 540 of the Boy Scouts of America, served on the Board of
Directors of Flambeau Hospital, and as Chairman of the Chequamegon Chapter of
Ducks Unlimited. In his free time he volunteered an auctioneer for many local
organizations. As an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and boating.
He also enjoyed handcrafting duck calls.
He is survived by his wife, Amber; by two children, Nichole (Travis McCann)
Reinke, Eau Claire and Parker Reinke, Phillips; by his mother, Marc Reinke,
Phillips; by two brothers, Jeff (Marge) Reinke, Phillips, and Bruce (Debbie)
Reinke, Phillips; by nieces, nephews, and many friends. He is preceded in death
by his father, Walter “Bud” Reinke.
Memorial services will be held at the Word of Life Family Church in Phillips at
11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 24, 2018, with Pastor Terry Sellers
officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the
time of service.
