Russell, Hazel (Klemm) (15 MAY 1926 - 30 MAY 2003)
Medford native Hazel (Klemm) Russell died Friday, May 30, 2003, at the Community
Hospice Hadlow Center in Jacksonville, Fla.
Funeral services were Thursday, June 5 at the All Saints Protestant Chapel at
Naval Air Station, Jacksonville.
Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home of Orange Park, Fla. assisted the
family with arrangements.

Hazel (Klemm) Russell, 77, loving wife, mother and friend passed away Friday,
May 30, 2003, at the Community Hospice Hadlow Center, after a hard fight against
cancer.
She was born May 15, 1926 in Medford, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Robert F.
and Meta (Thompsen) Klemm. Hazel worked for Florida National Bank then retiring
as an Operations Manager with First Union Bank.
She unselfishly served her family, friends and neighbors as was also a volunteer
for Navy Marine Corps Relief Society, giving 17,000 volunteer ours which earned
her the prestigious honor of the “Superior Performance Award.” She was an
officer and member of Gold Star Wives and dedicated and faithful servant of All
Saints Chapel, NAS Jax for over 20 years.
Hazel is survived by her loving daughter, Linda R. Price (Rick Bowlan),
grandson, Kevin W. Bennett and granddaughter Caroline L. Price. Brothers, Fred,
Earl (Mary), Gene (Bea) and Emery (Shirley) Klemm. Sisters, Virginia (Victor)
Brahmer, Myrna (Robert) Scheller, June (Del) Brandner. Sister-in-laws, Mary Ann
and Virginia Leigh Klemm, Betty Russell and children (Ray, Barbara and Connie)
Brother-in-law, Lee Everhart and children (Theresa, Lee Ann and Susan) and many
nieces, nephews and loving friends.
Hazel will be greeted in heaven by her husband Charles Edward Russell, Jr., and
loving family, Ralph and Oliver Klemm, Ray Russell, Margaret (Russell) Everhart,
and Dorothy (Russell) Mickley.
A memorial service will be held at her place of worship on Thursday, June 5,
2003, 10:30 AM at the All Saints Protestant Chapel, NAS Jax, Birmingham and
Mustin Roads. Attendees not having a valid car security sticker or
identification card must secure a pass from gate security.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to Navy
Marine Corps. Relief Society, PO Box 48, NAS Jax or Community Hospice of
Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd, Jacksonville, Florida, 32257.
