David J. Strebig, 56, Medford, died Thursday, May 13, 1999, at University
Hospital in Madison.
Visitation at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford was held on Wednesday, May 19.
Cremainal interment was held in Medford Evergreen Cemetery.
David J. Strebig was born April 4, 1943, in the Town of Molitor to Irvin Paul
and Ruth Bertha (Frahner) Strebig. He attended Immanuel Christian Day School and
graduated from Medford High School in 1961. He then entered the US Army and also
served with the National Guard following his discharge.
He was employed in Spencer for a period of time and was currently employed at
Hurd Millwork in Medford. He was a part-time local musky fishing guide for many
years and had written several publications on musky fishing. In his early years,
he enjoyed auto racing and currently enjoyed archery shooting. He was a member
of the Local Carpenters & Joiners Union.
Survivors include a sister, Diana (Roy) Schmidt of Waterford; and three nieces
and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
