Plass, Helen M. (Dietzler) (27 NOV 1917 - 16 FEB 2018)

Helen M. Plass, 100, Boyd, passed away Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at Lake Hallie Memory Care, with loved ones at her side.

Helen was born Nov. 27, 1917, the daughter of Charles and Mary Dietzler. Helen Dietzler was united in marriage to Leo Plass in May 1947, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cadott. She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Boyd.

She loved her family, and was a very devoted mother and wife, and always put the needs of others before her own. With her pleasant personality, she was loved by everyone.

She is survived by four sons – Charles (Dolores) Plass, Texas, Thomas (Jean) Plass, North Carolina, James (Pat) Plass, Minnesota, and Stephen (Penny) Plass, Wisconsin; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brother – Paul (Sylvia) Dietzler, Minnesota; and sisters – Mary Dietzler, Wisconsin, and Jean Merchant, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years – Leo Plass; her parents; and four brothers – Peter, George, Bernard and Raymond.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Feb. 24, at 10:30 a.m., at All Saints Parish - St. Joseph Catholic Church in Boyd, with Father William Felix officiating. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Boyd.

Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 23, from 5-8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary service, and also Saturday morning, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service, at the church.
