Slipka, Lois "Babes" Darlene (Glenzer) (8 JAN 1934 - 13 FEB 2018)
Lois "Babes" Darlene Slipka, 84, of Turtle Lake, formerly of Rib Lake, died on
Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Willow Ridge Healthcare in Amery.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 24 at Hemer
Funeral Service in Rib Lake with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Lois was born on January 8, 1934 in Lynn to Anton and Rose Marie (Schultz)
Glenzer. She was raised in the area and graduated from Rib Lake High School. She
married Thomas Slipka on Aug. 12, 1977 in St. Paul, Minn.
Lois was an animal lover, especially cats. In her youth, Babes was an excellent
swimmer, talented artist and quality musician.
Lois is survived by her husband, Thomas Slipka of Turtle Lake; two sons, Bryan
Blomster of Amery and Mark (Lisa) Blomster of Cottage Grove, Minn.; three
grandsons, Jesse, David and Tanner; her brother, Kenneth Glenzer of Tomahawk;
her sister, Irene Lueck of Rib Lake; nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends.
Lois was preceded in death by her son, Mitch Glenzer; siblings, Rae Jean, Vilas
"Bud," Adeline and Vernon.
Skinner Funeral Home of Turtle Lake is serving the family.
