Stevenson, Lawrence G. (4 May 1879 – 2 November 1974)

A Town of Grant resident since 1933, Lawrence G. Stevenson of Rt. 1, Granton, died November 2 in Neillsville at the age of 95. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton, with the Rev. William Noble of the United Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in the Windfall Cemetery.

Mr. Stevenson was born May 4, 1879, at Ashville, N.C. He was married to the former Marietta Trawin on June 29, 1910, at Delphi, In. The couple lived in Canada for five years, then, moved to Wisconsin in 1915. They lived at Augusta and a Neillsville before moving to their present farm in the Town of Grant in 1933.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, is one daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Elsie) Jensen of Granton.

Pallbearers were: Emil Tykac, Ernest Aeschbacher, Joe Parrish, Robert Dagramond, Jesse Richmond and Henry Helm.

Mrs. Lee Garbisch was the organist and Mrs. Roger Helm, the soloist.
