Schultz, Alvin Homer (17 December 1923 – 3 November 1974)
Alvin Homer Schultz, 50, of Greenwood was killed in a car-tractor accident
Sunday at 3:45 p.m., five miles southwest of Greenwood.
Mr. Schultz was born December 17, 1923 in Gratiot and was married to the former
Irene Griswold on May 16, 1947, at Belvidere, Il. They continued to live there
until 1958 when they moved to a farm southwest of Greenwood.
He is survived, by his wife, a son Gary Schultz of Greenwood and a daughter,
Connie Schultz of Hortonville; three brothers: Clayton of Greenwood; Clifford of
Ladysmith and Harold Schultz of Phoenix, Az.; a sister, Mrs. Garth (Clara Moe)
Sheley of Mountain Home, Ark.; and two grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon in the Grace United
Methodist Church in Greenwood. The Rev. Eugene Antrim, pastor, officiated.
Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Gordon, Larry,
Duane, and Raymond Schultz, Donald Decker and Jake Barr.
John Hanson Sang “How Great Thou Art” and “The Old Rugged Cross” accompanied on
the organ by Mrs. Richard Korn.
