SP/14 Daniel G. Southworth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Claire Southworth, came home on
June 16, 1970. His last Dury Station was with the 612th Quarter Master Co. (Air
Delivery), Ft. Bragg, N.C. While serving in the 612th, Dan was a mechanic and
truck driver.
Specialist Southworth is leaving on July 15 for Vietnam on his second tour of
duty.
Daniel received a letter of Commendation for his job well done at Fort Bragg,
which read: " I would like to take the opportunity to commend your on the
outstanding work accomplished in preparing this unit's Motor Pool equipment for
the Annual General Inspection on May 12, 1970. The professional skill displayed
before and during the inspection freflected great credit on you and the 12
Support Brigade. Your efforts contributed significantly to the superior rating
achieved by the Motor Pool and the high excellent rating achieved by the 612th
Q.M. Company (AD) as whole. My congratulations and sincere appreciation for a
job well done.
