Hera, Susan M. (Kolpien) (19 MAY 1956 - 23 FEB 2018)

Susan M. Hera, 61, Stanley, passed away Feb. 23, 2018, at home, surrounded by family in care of St. Joseph’s Hospice.

Susan was born May 19, 1956, the daughter of John and Gladys Kolpien. She grew up in the Cadott area and graduated from Cadott High School in 1974.

Susan Kolpien was united in marriage to John Hera June 28, 1975, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She was employed by ITW Deltar in Chippewa Falls, for 28 years. Susan enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping, fishing and deer hunting. She spent all summers at her camper with the Rock Dam Crew. She really enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children – Carrie (Hal) Demars, Dawn (Randy) Sarauer, Dennis (Lynn) Hera and Kyle (Norma Knuth) Hera; special friend – Bob Briski; siblings – Jack (Sue) Kolpien, Donnie (Colleen) Kolpein, George (Elaine) Kolpien, Jim (Carol) Kolpien, Jerry (Lois) Kolpien, Delores Honadel, Donna (Jim) Dekan, June Noel, Mary (Roland) Tichy and Bev (Frank) Dzienkowski; grandchildren – Ashley, Brandon and Shawna Demars, Ariel, Clyde, Ty and Luke Goodman, Brooklynn and Lucas Sarauer, Daytona, Jasmine and Rocky Hera, and Gavin and Taylor Boie; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband – John Hera; sister – Betty Scholfield; sister-in-law – Linda Kolpien; and friend – Doc Carlson.

Service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 2, at Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott, with the Rev. George Olinske officiating. Interment will be at the Brooklawn Cemetery, following services.
Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m., Thursday, March 1, at Leiser Funeral Home, and also one hour prior to the service Friday, at the funeral home.
