Mittenzwei, Robert L. (12 FEB 1929 - 1 MAR 2018)

Robert L. Mittenzwei, 89, of County Road E., Medford, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Rib Lake Health Center, Rib Lake where he had resided for the past 1 month.

No Services are scheduled. Interment will take place at Molitor Catholic Cemetery, Town of Molitor.

Robert was born on February 12, 1929, in the Township of Hammel, to Ernest and Meta (Viergutz) Mittenzwei. He attended Wayside Elementary School, Town of Hammel and was a 1947 graduate of Medford High School.

He was married to Darlene (Brugge) in 1950, and they were divorced in 1974. His second marriage was to Janice K. (Vlack), at Perkinstown in 1985.

He farmed in the Townships of Hammel and Molitor for periods of time. He drove truck for Fur Foods and hauled lime for Herman Eggert. He also worked at Potaczek Scrap in Medford. He enjoyed deer hunting and putzing around on the farm.

Robert is survived by his wife, Janice K. Mittenzwei, of the Town of Molitor; children Roger (Mary) Mittenzwei of Marathon and Linda (Dave) Pettit of Washington, IL; 6 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Meta (Viergutz) Mittenzwei; Great Grandson, Peter Mittenzwei; and siblings Marie Purdy and Art Mittenzwei.
