Peche, Margaret J. (Johnson) (21 JUL 1917 - 24 APR 2002)
She was born July 21, 1917 in Little Falls, Minn., to Axel and Martha Johnson,
who had emigrated from Sweden in 1902. She was their seventh child.
They had moved to Medford in later years and Margaret attended the Little White
school in the Town of Little Black. It was a 2 mile walk and she was unable to
go to high school because that was 7 miles. No buses those days. She helped her
folks on the farm and then she went to Chicago, Ill., and found employment.
Later she returned to Medford and married Edwin A. Peche.
They had two sons, Richard and Billie. After they were grown and Edwin deceased,
she went to work at Marathon Cheese until she retired. She passed away on April
24, 2002 at age 84.
Her two sons and two sisters Esther (Norman) Miller and Hilda Larson survive.
Funeral services were on April 26, 2002, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, interment
in Evergreen Cemetery II.
