Blunck, William D. (20 APR 1899 – 14? AUG 1970)
Funeral services for William D. Blunck, 71, route 1, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.)
were held at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon, August 18, 1970, from the Hoeper and
Kraut Funeral Home, Owen. Rev. H.W. Luetkehoelter, pastor of Nazareth Lutheran
Church, Withee, was in charge of the service, with burial being made at
Riverside Cemetery.
Jerome Laski, Sabin Scherf, Art Smasal, Lester Himes, Lucius Bowen, and Al
Boxrucker served as pallbearers.
His death was sudden and a shock and surprise to members of his family and
friends. He had eaten his noon meal, as he always did, at the nearby home of his
brother, Walter Blunck and family, and left for home. When he didn't show up for
dinner the following day a check was made at his home and his body was found in
the driveway. His death was attributed to a heart attack on the 14th of August
1970.
Born April 20, 1899 in the Town of Longwood (Clark Co.), he received his
education there and never married. He spent his lifetime as a farmer.
Mourning his death with friends and relatives are two brothers, John of Withee
and Walter of rural Withee.
