David Harlson of Milwaukee spent the weekend visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Myrle Haralson.
Mrs. Art Lokken and Mrs. Burt Potocnik left for their home in the Twin Cities
last Wednesday, after visiting and helping at the home of their parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Paul Fricke.
Guests at the Barager cottage over the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Edward J.
Vernon and son Mike of Westbury, N.Y., Col. And Mrs. Howard M. Russell of
Hayward, and Deal N.J., and Mrs. Barager's aunt, Mrs. Anton Peters of Chicago,
and John Smith.
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Looker of Owen went with Mr. and Mrs. Glen Sandmire of
Stanley to Richland Center to the Sandmire Reunion held on Sunday.
After a two month visit at the Arnie Laakso home, Edward Cass returned to his
home in Muncie, Indiana, having enjoyed visiting his aunt and uncle.
Mr. and Mrs. Hans Humo of Waukegan, Ill. stopped here Friday enroute to Iron
River to attend the funeral of a friend, Irving Johnson. Accompanying them were
her sister, Mrs. Ella Kangas, and friends, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Jensen of Owen.
Last week Mr. and Mrs. Peter Devine and daughters, Lynda, Mary Karon and Janine
vacationed with a trip down the Mississippi River, visiting many sites of
interest, Prairie du Chien, Villa Louise, Indian Mounds in Iowa, back to La
Crosse, and onto Bruce, where they visited with the Danny and Mike Devine
families.
Sandy Rohland and friends Beth Stubfors and Candy Kusiak, all of Marshfield,
returned Saturday, August 15th, from a two week trip to the eastern States.
Highlights included visits to Boston, New York City, Washington, D.C.,
Philadelphia, and the Cape Cod area.
