Sunday forenoon Rev. Arnold Woodring will preach his 'Farewell' sermon to
parishioners of the Alliance Church, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), a parish he has
served the past seven and one-half years.
On the 26th of July he accepted a call to assume pastorate of the Alliance
Church at Menomonie.
During his tenure here he led the Curtiss congregation in the construction of
their new sanctuary. At Owen the congregation has landscaped the church and
parsonage grounds, installed a new heating system, painted and re-decorated the
interior of the church.
Meanwhile, in addition to his pastoral duties, Rev. Woodring had been active in
community activities and recently completed a three year term on the Owen-Withee
Board of Education.
He will be receiving his many friends at an 'Open House' to which they are all
invited at the parish hall from 2 to 5 o'clock Sunday afternoon.
