Thompson, Mr./Mrs. Arthur (45th – 27 AUG 1970)
On Saturday, August 29, 1970 Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Thompson observed their 45th
wedding anniversary with a dinner for the immediate family at the Dairy Bar, and
a reception in their home for relatives and neighbors. Those present included
the members of their wedding: Emma Larson, Abbotsford, and Harold Mathias,
Ashland. Also the couple's daughters and family, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Graham,
Paul, Peter, David, and Ricky, Joliet, Ill.; and Rev. and Mrs. Gordon Sorenson,
Heidi, Nels, Peter and Mark of Beaver Dam.
Other guests were Alma Thompson, Milwaukee; Mrs. Harold Matthias, Ashland;
Albert Bakke and Laurence Kline, Stevens Point; Mable Larson and the Bud Nelson
family, Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Thompson, Alfred Erickson, the Rev. R.L.
Tellock, Mrs. Christina Matthias, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Laabs, Mr. and Mrs. John
Lokken, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Peterson and daughters, all of Curtiss.
The former Alma Larson of Abbotsford and Arthur Thompson of Curtiss were married
August 27, 1925 at the home of her parents by the Rev. Arthur C. Odden. They
have spent their entire married life as residents of the Curtiss (Clark Co.,
Wis.) area.
