Rettig, Rachel Waynette (5 SEP 1970)
Married at 3 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 1970 at St. John's Lutheran Church at
Withee by the Rev. Arthur F. Hellert, were Misss Rachel Waynette Rettig,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Rettig, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), and Dennis
Roland Tischendorf, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Tischendorf, Oak Creek.
The bride graduated from Owen-Withee High School and attended the University of
Wisconsin, Madison, where she presently is employed. She is an active member of
the Madison Theater Guild.
Her husband attended Oak Creek High School, the University of Wisconsin,
Madison,, and Milton College, Milton, and is an engineer at Ray-O-Vac of
Madison.
When the bride entered the church to be married shew as wearing a crepe, satin
and lace dress with chapel length train and a veil flowing from a pillbox
headpiece. She held a cascade bouquet made of white roses on a bed of ivy, with
lilies of the valley.
Miss Lynne Micklinghoff, Miss Diane Siedschlag, Miss Roberta Rebecca, and Miss
Rhonda Rettig, the bridal aides, were seen in yellow moire formals and carried
baskets containing yellow and white chrysanthemums.
Rita Rettig was flower girl.
Serving as best man was James Fait.
The Colby Hotel was the setting for both the dinner and reception. The newlyweds
are living in Madison, at 926 W. Badger Road.
