Hales, Richard Junior “Dick” (1 OCT 1917 - 4 MAR 2003)

Richard Junior “Dick” Hales, 85, Town of Rib Lake, died Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at Memorial Health Center in Medford.

Funeral services are Friday, March 7 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Rib Lake, with Rev. John Long and Deacon Michael Cullen officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, with military rites conducted by Lehman-Clendenning American Legion Post no. 274.

Pallbearers are Dan Quednow, Ron Becker, Ryan Hales, Rollie Thums, Bill Leonhard, Dick Gordon, Al Hanke and Galen Scharer.

Richard was born in Illinois, to Samuel R. & Minerva (Nickert) Hales. He served with the US Army, in WW 2 and was married to Lucille “Lu” (Becker).

Visitation is Thursday at Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Home from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30. Visitation at the church begins at 10 a.m. Friday.
