Raab, Dale R. (22 NOV 1940 - 4 MAR 2018)
Dale R. Raab, 74, a longtime Ogema resident, died on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at
the Clark County Rehab and Living Center in Clark County.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 9 at 11 a.m. at First
Lutheran Church of Ogema with Pastor Quinlan Koch officiating. Military honors
will be conducted by the Southern Price County VFW Post No. 8491 of Prentice.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. on Friday, March 9 at Ogema Lutheran Church until
the time of the service. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Ogema
Volunteer Fire Company.
Interment will be at a later date at Hillside Cemetery in Ogema. The Heindl
Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Dale R. Raab, 74, longtime Ogema resident, died on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at the
Clark County Rehab and Living Center, in Clark County.
He was born on November 28, 1943, at a farmhouse in Ogema, the son of Adam and
Mabel (Larsen) Raab. He attended his elementary classes at Wildwood School, a
one-room schoolhouse a couple miles down the road from the farm. He went on to
graduate from Prentice High School in 1963.
Upon graduation he found employment as a milk truck driver… with Dick Gordon’s
company, serving farms throughout Price and Taylor counties.
He was then drafted and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the
Vietnam War.
Upon returning from service, he worked as an employee for the Price County
Highway Department until he retired in 2001.
Dale married Kathy Froeming on July 19, 1969 in Kennan, Wi. They celebrated over
48 years of marriage together. He was actively involved in his church and his
community from a young age.
Dale served as a member of the Ogema Volunteer Fire Company for over 30 years,
serving as treasurer for a portion of that time, he received the Firefighter of
the Year award twice. He was actively involved in the VFW Post #6177, Catawba,
served as the Ogema Town Constable and was a member of the Ogema Town Board.
Outside of his work and volunteer life, Dale enjoyed team softball, league
bowling, shooting pool, hunting, throwing horseshoes, camping with his family
and friends, playing cards, and telling stories to anyone who would listen.
He is survived by his wife Kathy, Ogema, by his children: Scott (Tracy), Raab,
Ogema, Sandra (David) Nehls, Prentice, Jason (Melissa) Raab, and LeeAnn Raab,
all of Ogema,
By 1 brother: Fred (Pat) Raab, of Donna, Texas, by 8 grandchildren: Hannah,
Isaac, Megan, Alyson, Olivia, Leah, Kara, and Adam.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 brother Daniel Raab.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the
First Lutheran Church of Ogema, with Pastor Quinlan Koch officiating. Military
Honors will be conducted by the Southern Price County VFW Post #8491 of
Prentice.

Church until the time of the service.

A memorial fund has been established.
