Hansen, Marine Sgt. Larry W. (Military -1974)
Marine Sgt. Larry W. Hansen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley L. Hansen of
Neillsville, has left the Marine Corps base, Camp Lejeune, N. C. as a member of
the 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment landing team.
The battalion is embarked aboard ships of the Atlantic Fleet for the resumption
of amphibious training exercises in the Caribbean. During the deployment, Hansen
will participate in beach assaults, weapons firing exercises and infantry
tactics ashore.
He is also scheduled to visit Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Caracas, Venezuela, for
liberty.
A 1969 graduate of Watertown High School, he joined the Marine Corps in July
1969.
